We all got to mow our yard right?

It’s the time to mow our yard. I must get the string trimmer cord refilled and the blades on our pruners sharpened. It’s a part of life if you have a home with a yard, you got to mow the yard We have always had a gas push mower. It was time for a lawnmower that did not use gas. We had to do some research. I read magazine articles and watched YOUTUBE videos, I stalked AMAZON. It had to be something easy. I believe that with all the stores out there selling battery operated lawnmowers that they generally do the same thing right. Boy was I wrong.

Choices to make

Some are self-propelled, some have a bigger deck or they include an extra battery and quick charger. My budget was around $300.00 and I wanted it to include a battery. So we narrowed it down to two choices: Ryobi 20 in. 40-Volt Brushless Lithium-Ion Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower 5.0 Ah Battery/Charger or the Greenworks 20-Inch 40V Push Mower 4Ah Battery and Quick Charger.

Ryobi

I just had really one big factor in these two. No gas.

I have a choice to make they were around the same price, both came with chargers and batteries.

There were some requirements that we had to have like it could hold a charge for a long period of time, be quiet, lightweight folds easily in the garage for storage space. I found it. I didn’t go full throttle and buy the self-propelled one, although if I had a bigger yard I think I would have.

Ryobi or Greenworks

Greenworks Lawnmower

The Winner is Greenworks

I ended up getting the Greenworks 20-Inch 40V Push Mower 4Ah Battery and Quick Charger set.

This lawnmower is lightweight one button start, hold the handle, push the button. No maintenance at all. There are no oil filters or air filters to mess with, and most of all no gas cans stacking up in the garage. I wanted to share the specs with you on this particular one:

  • Brushless Motor Technology
  • 20-inch Steel Cutting Deck
  • Single Lever Height Adjustment
  • Vertical Storage
  • 3-in-1 Function: Bag, Mulch, and Side Discharge
  • Instant Start
  • 10-inch Rear Wheels & 8-inch Front Wheels
  • 4Ah Battery
  • Quick Charger: 120 Minute Charge Time
  • 3 Year Tool / Battery Limited Warranty

I have had this lawnmower for about 3 months now. It is easy to start, lasts long enough I can mow my yard two times before charging. The bag comes on and off, easy to dump out. It folds super slim to fit in the shed. It even has an extra slot in the front to put another battery to switch out in case the main one dies. I recommend this lawnmower 5 out of 5 stars. Now it’s time for me to go mow the yard. I actually enjoy mowing it now.
